Enjoyed your post, was going to reply and then it turned into a blog post of my own! Pretty much agree with all your major points. On the #smc poll I voted for Beeb all the time, only because I found the Northern a little difficult to isolate sessions/too much background nosie. I guess we also must wonder how long the BBC will remain at Oxford Road?

Good post. I think that there were some great lessons learned from the Cutting Room experiment and these seem to have been taken on positively by the team involved. It was great to get the debrief at #smc_mcr and I'm keen to see where the approach might lead.

Useful poll on the use of Broadcasting House. I voted for #smc_mcr because it 'just felt right'. I think the logistics are also improved in terms of the spaces available and the technology to hand.

Given that most attendees register on the wiki anyhow I'd hope that this wouldn't become a major sticking point.
